This is the painting that really caught my eye. Created by Nate Meltzer with oil on canvas, the painting is called “I <3 Zelda.” I love how gorgeous he made the princess look. Bang up job there Nate.
Here are some awesome pieces from the Montreal art show, Press Start. The show has artists creating works related to classic video game heroes. There are some really amazing paintings in this show. I’m going to post a few but if you’d like to see the whole shebang, follow the link. Press Start

Really cool stuff here, and it is helpful. So if you have been struggling with those damn bosses from mega man 1-3, these might get you through it.
Brink.
Collected some sweet new screenshots from SplashDamage’s new game Brink. My fingers are crossed for this game. Everything they’ve showed so far seems pretty incredible. I just hope that they can deliver everything they’ve promised.
SO EXCITED!!!
New game created by Flower and flOw game developers.
If you are familiar with any of these games you will know that this will be unlike most games people are playing right now.
Rather than endow people with unlimited power the game creators, Thatgamecompany, have made a world where the player feels small, insignificant, and rather vulnerable. There is nothing in this world but sand, tombstones and fabric.
According to gaming website Kotaku.com, players will move through a world engulfed in sand. It seems that the sand is one part land one part liquid as the player can not only walk across it but also surf down it. You can also use ribbon and fabric like bridges and step stones to cross difficult gaps in the terrain.
“In one sequence, we watched Chen jump up onto a trio of long ribbons flapping in the wind. They acted as platforming devices, turning from white cloth to red, covered in glyphs, when the player stepped on them. After walking across all three, a stream of fabric poured out of a rocky relic, forming a bridge.”
Instead of a narrative story, the history of the world is brought to you by glyphs and imagery throughout the world.
Like their other games, I am sure that this is going to be a very peaceful and zen-like experience.
